Potholes throughout parking area, one light in entire parking lot

This was a barely average experience, ruined by two unacceptable features of the property. First, every single light in the parking lot was unlit, save for one in the SE corner of the parking lot. It was pitch black. A hotel parking lot that is virtually totally dark is a major risk to clients, who are travelling with belongings in their car. This was true the entire night of my stay, as well as the following night when I drove by on my way out of town. Second, the parking lot pavement was desbadly degraded, over its entire length. There were large potholes spaced out across the majority of the lot. The entrance veranda had pavers that were cracked. The bed was comfortable, and the included internet access and continental breakfast were appreciated. The value minded traveller may find respite here, if safety is not a priority and you don't mind the broken down parking lot and entranceway. This property has potential, but it looks like the management doesn't care, or can't afford to properly maintain it.

The room was comfortable and quiet as you would expect from this hotel chain. But bear in mind that the word "Country" in its name is probably a subtle way to remind you that it is located in the boondocks. Getting to a nearby restaurant means having to drive along dark and twisty side roads. Also for us the TV remote did not work. We mentioned it to the staff but no one came to repair it for our entire 3-night stay.

Good location, cleanliness lacking due to bugs in the bathroom and on the carpet.

I selected this hotel based on its close location to Ithaca College and based on its layout of the rooms ( sleeping area and living area). Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the hotel is not on par with other 3 star hotels. There were 2 main issues that I had with room 101. 1) the windows on the first floor were unlocked when I check in. This is a safety concern. 2) I found bugs all over the inside of the tub/shower and on the floor in the bathroom when I work up the next morning. There were at least 8 in the bathroom. Additionally, I found 5 - 6 bugs on the carpet in the living room area of the suite. These were harder to see as the bugs were the same color as the carpet. I reported the situation to the front desk when I went to get breakfast and when I checked out. I also called the hotel and spoke to the manager on duty. He replied that the hotel is in a wooded area and it is normal to have bugs. "They will not hurt you." This is unacceptable. The bathroom , tub and shower were not clean. Note - the staff who worked at the breakfast and who were available at check in were friendly and courteous. The issue with the property is management's lack of attention to cleanliness in that they responded to the bags with the statement that it was normal since the hotel was located in a wooded area.

Not clean. Hot tub not working. Incompetent and no care attitude. Left a young girl at the front desk to face disgruntled customers. Room was paid in advance and still bumped us. Management ignored us and offered nothing as compensation.

We stayed for 3 nights. The 2nd day the room was made up, but on the third day we got to the hotel and the room had not been serviced. Called the front desk and was told that if we needed the room made up we needed to let the desk know, but we were not given this information on check in, and why was it made up the day before? Also on the day of check out, which was a Monday, people were complaining about the breakfast area running out of food.
